The ultra refined follicular unit strip surgery that I observed was 2,339 follicular unit grafts consisting of 1,285 one hair grafts, 880 twos and 174 three hair grafts, which came from a donor strip measuring 1.1 cm wide by 22 cm long.

Very interesting.

How would his use of only single and double haired FU grafts compare with splitting FUs? To me, this is the same thing.

Whereas I don't believe sub-division of FUs is necessarily a bad thing, I DO believe that the use of 3 and 4 haired FU grafts can help achieve more density.

That being said...does he ever use the 3 and 4 haired FU grafts or does he always sub-divide them. I notice that the 2339 FU grafts do contain some 3 hair grafts....were they split or were they used? Were there naturally occuring 4 haired grafts in this strip that you were aware of that were sub-divided?

The pictures of the incisions do look nice and clean for sure - truly ultra-refined work.
