The pictures are of a 32 year old transgender patient. The patient wanted Dr Epstein to create a goatee. Dr Epstein transplanted 2201 grafts into the goatee and surrounding beard area.

You guys are missing the point, as the work looks great (nice job Dr. Epstein) and a "transgendered" woman could likely become a man through continued surgery.

I'm curious what was the donor for this surgery? I would guess that pubic hairs were transplanted. They probably most closely match beard hair. I wonder if they want another session done on their goatee, and how long after their surgery until it grew out in the last picture?

The hairs were taken from the back of the head. The patient was very happy with the results but could have more grafts in the goatee if they desired. Dr E also used additional grafts to transplant chest hair.

You really need to get over your obsession with me, personally I have no trouble ignoring you but you constantly take threads off topic.

I suggest you no longer reply to anything I say and I will do the same to you.

Have a great day. Smile

Obsessed with you ? This is the first time replying after you . It was you all of a sudden throwing your little comments to me time after time after the petty doctor spat. Just a little taste of your own medicine.
If you have no trouble ignoring me then why did it take so long?
Bottomline is everyone on here said nice result including me but you seem to think everyone is missing the point.
Whats the point ? Weve all seen this before plenty of times whether its eyebrows or sideburns or a beard so the point is good job Dr Epstein.
Have a nice day to you too and PLEASE ingnore me. Oh and after 500 posts and tons of topics name 3 threads I took off topic ,oh wait just ignore me

Wylie and PGP,

Both you guys are great! Now if only you could see that about each other and stop fighting Smile

Aaron,

Thanks for posting. I have always been fascinated with the concept of beard transplants. I suppose it's nothing I ever considered, but then again, I can grow a full beard. I guess I wouldn't consider a hair transplant either if I still had a full head of hair.

I tell, that had to be the weirdest thing for the doctor and staff. And, this isn't like getting a tattoo and later being able to remove it.

You and PGP have one thing in common: Neither of you make any sense.

Regardless if you think its disgusting or not ..... the work is excellent. Just like we want to 'fit in' with HT on our head, transgender people want to 'fit in' with the details of the sex they choose to be ....

Good on him/her for chasing their desires, and thumbs up for the fantastic work
