This patient e-mailed me recently when I asked permission to share his photos with you. Here are his comments: "Hi, Dr. McKenzie. You have my consent to show cropped photos.
This experience has been truly life changing for me...literally. Thank you so much!!"

At his 7 month follow-up, it was my receptionist who pointed out to me the dramatic change in this patient. He used to wear a baseball cap to all his pre-op visits and looked downcast; now he is capless & can't stop smiling!

this is a fairly decent result. My only complaint is that the temple area needs to be a bit more rounded to look more natural

For 3000 grafts it's looks pretty damn good. Definetely huge improvement from what he had. I've always wondered why guys with thin or thinning hair love to gel that shit up and make it look even thinner??? whats up with that? :P

please, you have to be tough. You paying a lot of money. So, I expect perfection and in my view, I feel the temples should be rounded. Reminds me of one those thick toupees that you can tell is fake because the temples are receded and everywhere else is super thick. that's just the way I see it.

If you look at frontal shot, it looks great. It's only when you look at the side profile that it looks too linear and straight. It wouldn't pass as normal recession therefore making it look fake

I see what you're talking about, but that would take another 1k grafts or so, and maybe the guy didn't have the means to go for 4,000 grafts.

I disagree with you grateful. This is what distinguishes a great doc from and ok doc. Even though he may do refined work, he lacks natural design or aesthetic awareness to create a natural looking hairline

Although I agree that some attention should have been paid to the temporal region, I dont think it looks fake at all.

dakota3, so I'm guessing by looking a the side profile you think that looks natural? I have never seen a natural recession like this. The hairline is too straight and should've been rounded. If sombody gave me a hairline like this I would be pissed. You seem too casual about this by saying that "some attention should have been given to the hairline" as if surgery is no big deal and he could always go back for a second procedure to fix it.

Compared to where he was I think it looks pretty good. This is NOT an Armani hairline and Im sure the doctor and patient agreed on the placement. As far as the temple points they can always be addressed in a second procedure fue or strip. Maybe he didnt have the laxity to address everything in one shot. Rarely is there a one and done surgery when there is extensive balding area.
Yes it would be nice to have everything in one pass but more times then not its going to need additional work. Everyone is different in what they want and Im sure the patient is happy reading this

The temple area hasnt been addressed yet so "fixing it" isnt necessary. His hair looks great and w/ a little temple work it'll look even better. I dont think i'd be pissed w/ this result!

You know guys maybe I'm wrong. Maybe I'm being over critical. I like to know why the big dogs haven't commented on this hairline ie falc , bspot, joetronic. I'd like to see what they think

Anouar,

I am with you on this one. I could literally take the bus to Dr. Mackenzie's office but I won't based on the results I have seen thus far. To me it looks artificial, but if the patient is happy, mission accomplished.

Anouar nobodys wrong because we all have different taste. Yeah this isnt a homerun but to me its actually pretty good.
I also believe his temples rebuilt would make it look alot better but that can taken care of later. I havent seen enough from him to make me want to recommend him but this one result is pretty good. You have H@W and Rahal in Canada I mean come on there no comparison at this time Statman Im with you. Doesnt mean he cant up his game and compete and this is a decent start

The 5th and 7th pics in the sequence are pre-ops and show that the patient lost his hair in the pattern that was filled in.

This is what happens when you get cropped photos, the scrutiny gets magnified. If I saw this guy on the street I would think nothing and move on, mission accomplished.
