Folica,
Not that I want to scare you...but...why does it look like all the grafts are missing in this picture? I'm not sure if your hair is just very light or the picture quality is poor...but whereas it seems most of the scabs are gone...I also don't see any grafts. Let me know. Right after I sent you the pm, i found your blog with the pics. It looks a little red, but it will diminish in the next few days.
I'm very glad to hear you are happy with your surgery. If you're confident in the doctor and staff, and the placment of your grafts, you will be happy with the results a year from now. Now, try not to get alarmed at the 2,3, or 4 months when you start getting anxious for the hairs to grow. Stress in any form is not good for your body or mind (and follicles). Thanks for posting your pics. Best of luck! I'm employed as the lead medical tech and surgical manager for the Shapiro Medical Group. Feel free to ask me any questions. |

Congrats folica!
Looks like outstanding work, you will be thrilled in a few months! Did you conceal your HT for work?? |

Bay, Thanks man! I think your Ht is coming along great!
Gorpy who is the Forums Official Hair Density Estimator, say's from the hair count's I provided him, it appears to be about 45 cm2 @ the hairline & 40 cm2 behind. Dr. Alexander gave me what I was looking for in a hairline & packing. When I see those pics, I get happy! Thanks No buzz! I am happy with the work as I can't help to keep saying. I am a self employed contractor & have been wearing a freakin ball cap for 15 years! So it was no problem, I appeared the way everyone is used to seeing me, with my damn ball cap! Man I am sick of wearing one! I hope to be out from under it in time...Cheers! |

folica,
I'm sure it will feel REALLY nice to be rid of the hat. I actually do still love hats, but haven't been wearing one for about a month now (give or take a rare occasion) as I've been going out. It's freeing really...heal well bro. Falc To learn about how I restored my hair, read my hair restoration story with pictures. See also my hair loss weblog. Falc, I do like how I look in hats too, so I know what you mean. I don't think I will give them up all together. It's hard to say... after 15 years of wearing one it becomes a part of your image. In my work & social life.
I was wondering how many years my transplant will take me back to...maybe my 35 year old hairline? It will be interesting. I am really starting to feel the fuzz growing now. I won't get to attached to it. : ( Healing Nicely! Thanks for your comments brother! |

I just noticed I became a Guru just 4 days after my HT. In the Karma scale a Guru is right in the middle of a new real club member & Celestial member ( falceros status 2,000 post! )
So it took me about 200 post before I got my first Ht. Do you think that was enough research? I do! LOL! |

Congrats again Folica! It looks very similar to my first procedure with Alexander. On people like us he likes to attack an area with dense packing and then move on to the next area and dense pack it. My first HT he approached myself in the same way, by dense packing the front 1/3. It looked great after about 6-7 months but it also made my thin area behind it even look worse(hair greed damnit!) So I went back for my second HT with him and he did the same dense packing to my midscalp area to crown. And now that looks great and am very happy with it but once again that hair greed is kicking in and now I focus on my bald crown! lol. That's ok, my scalp was pretty tight after my last HT so I am taking off more time in between HT's this time, will probably get one of those cool Scalp massagers and most likely will look into going back next spring to fill in my crown somewhat.
