The pictures also show his pre-op, 1 year post-op from his 1st procedure. 1,881 grafts were done in his first procedure and 2,125 in his second procedure. Dr. Scott Alexander is located in sunny Phoenix, AZ and is dedicated exclusively to holistically treating hair loss in both men and women. He performs all microscopically prepared ultra refined follicular unit grafting using the lateral slit technique for placement. Many thanks to Dr. Scott Alexander, his staff, and his patient for sharing these great results with the forums. -Robert |

Does his hairline look a little sparse? This guy had some hair left before the surgery and it seems to me that his hairline should be a tad more dense. Please tell me if I am off-base here. I think the guy looks 100% better, I just think 4000 fu's in the front third should look a little thicker. Could just be his hair type though. Any thoughts? Maybe I'm just being paranoid :-)

I'm looking at the close-up of his hairline, and I cannot say that I agree that it looks sparse. If you are referring to the fact that it is not a "wall" of hair at the hairline, then I would have to point out that to ensure that the patient has the most natural-looking results for his age, amount of loss, and hair characteristics, Dr. Alexander performed an exceptional job of ensuring this patient looks completely natural. If the 4,000 grafts were packed into the hairline to make that "wall" of hair, then that is what would look unnatural. If you look at most gentlemen around the patient's age, you will notice that most with a comparable hairline have an approximate amount of density. In my opinion, this hairline was fantastically placed with a perfect density and transition from the forehead, hairline, going back. I appreciate your concerns, but I think that you have to realize that the patient had a considerable amount of loss previous to the procedure for those 4,000 grafts to fill: I hope I cleared it up for you. Any other opinions on this set of photos? -Robert ------------------------------ Check out the results of my surgical hair restoration performed by Dr. Jerry Cooley by visiting my Hair Loss Weblog |

I agree the hairline looks great, and I am NOT in anyway casting dispersion here, but you desrcibed the transition and that is what I am talking about. That is what struck me about his density, not the placement/artistry, etc... It struck me that I could see a little further back than I thought I should be able to, that is all. Dr. Alexander produces great results, and this is not a bash the doctor post, I am merely commenting on the FIRST look at a new patient.
