4,700 grafts in one sitting using ultra refined, dense pack, lateral slit, strip method with tricophylic closure.

He is 6 month from his procedure and as such is only 50% grown.

This patient had used a comb-over for many years and finally decided it was time to have a hair transplant. He does not take any hairloss medication.

http://www.fellermedicaldata.com/Video/4700.wmv

He had the following postive attributes for hair transplant surgery:
1. A large donor area
2. A dense donor area
3. A thick caliber of hair
4. Flexible donor area
5. Thick skin in donor area
6. Long grafts
7. White hair with white skin. Because there is a low contrast between hair color and skin he appears to have more hair because the eye has a hard time telling where the hair ends and the skin begins.

Extremely impressive looking, especially in light of it being but 6(!) months in; the hair-look that he is already starting to sport *really* suits him well, imo.

I'm pallid like the moon; perhaps I'll dye my hair white to boost my illusion of density 20.5%.

very nice, cant wait to see in an additional 6 months.

what exactly are the benefits of having "long grafts" and "thick skin in donor area"---less scarring with respect to the latter?

Dr. Feller,

Excellent use of pictures and details of this patient's case. This gives our members a true understanding of the patient's situation and presents an accurate representation of the results. If you have any immediately postoperative pictures, this would be icing on the cake!

He looks great for only 6 months. I hope you will come back to post his final result.

Falc

Thank you all for the kind comments. He is ecstatic about his hair and already sent in a few friends.

Having thick skin tends to mean a thin scar. His was so thin the camara didn't pick it up. I'm sure if we shaved his donor area we would see it, but he wasn't about to let me to that.

Longer follicles, when compared to shorter ones, just means they are more hardy and will produce thicker higher quality hairs.

We'll follow him up in 3 months and shoot more photos and videos. His density will have increased another 25% by then.

Goodness!!!

Haha - I have never lookde at HT, just browsing the HT forum today - with results like this, I am inclined to believe, people, that we have a cure for baldness.

Amazing stuff!

I honestly think over 75% of the male balding population has no idea what can be achieved with ht today. In my never ending obsession with the bald head, I see so many guys who are totally bald and have FANTASTIC donor areas, with no loss in the crown. They could probably have a full, dense head of hair. Why don't they? They don't know how far it has come. The only people who advertise on tv are Bosley. Its a mystery to me why there is not more advertisement out their for these top notch docs Feller, H&W, etc, etc,...When I first found this forum and saw H&W's website I thought it was bull shit. It looked to good to be true.

Next time I see one of those bald guys with a great donor, Im going to sit them down, pull out a pencil and draw their new hair line in on their head and shade the entire balding area with a marker.
And say: "see. don't you like that? much better."
