4003 grafts with Dr.Rahal by hairdog (created on )Gallery | Comments

I have been losing my hair since I was about 20 years old, I am now 34 and decided to get a hair transplant, I researched a lot of places and found LMC hair transplant in Ottawa with Dr. Rahal to be my best option.

I went in for the transplant on January 19, 2006. What a unique & positive experience, the doctor and his staff made me feel very comfortable and at ease, they are very nice and you can see that they have a great chemistry together.

The only pain I felt was from the freezing injections but very short lived, the entire operation lasted around 10 hours, I watch movies, talked with the staff and even slept during the process.

I had 4003 grafts implanted and I cant wait for the results, witch I am confident from what I am seeing should be great.

Hi Hairdog,

Congrats to you and welcome to the site! With over 4000 grafts in that area you should get great coverage. I've not heard of LMC or Dr. Rahal but it sounds like you checked them out and felt good about the session.

Did you shave your head for the procedure? Do you happen to have any pics that show pre-op for comparison? If not, no problem. Good luck with your recovery and have fun watching the progress over the next several months.

If possible, please post some pic's of your progress as the months pass along.

Take care,

Hairbank

Neither have I. However, the procedure looks very clean with a nice hairline. All the best for great results.

Hairdog, Congradulations on your large and impressive surgery. It looks pretty densely packed. You should acheive a dramatic positive change. I really look forward to seeing more photos when your hair grows in. Thanks for sharing your photos with us.

When I was visiting Ontario this past Fall I spoke with Dr. Rahal about me visiting his clinic. But our schedules did not work out.

I did have an interesting conversation with him about his technique, experience and staff. He sounds to me like a real gem in rough to me who is doing refined all microscopically dissected follicular units with a large staff of nine technicians.

I hope to learn much more about Dr. Rahal and then potentially present him on all our web sites.

Pat

As long as the moon shall rise
As long as the rivers flow
As long as the sun shall shine
And the grass will grow
Let me listen, I will learn to speak
The old language
Yes, I yearn to bathe in blue skies
And fall apart from the world of machines
Regain my feet and my pounding heart

I'm just saying...it's a huge chunk of change.

I'm hoping that by the time I get my next procedure I can get a lot more work done for a lot less money. That's how it should work. In 3-5 years, I want to be paying what I paid but be getting like 4,000 FUs instead of 1,600.

I wouldn't count on it. Transplants are so labor intensive that I don't see the price going down much.

Happyhair-

Just wanted to lend a helping hand to you..........make sure to look at the "Posted" date on the threads in the top left corner of each post. This was last active 2/16/06............I don't think hairdog post anymore. If you'll click on the Coalition Surgeon's link at the top left of this page, you can go to Dr. Rahal's site..........I believe he posts all his pricing there.
