Dr. Rahal 3420 grafts 28/03/2008 3 Month Update by Portugal25 (created on )Gallery | Comments

Hello Everyone,

After 4 years looking at this forum and others, I finally took the plunge and ultimatly decided with Dr. Rahal seeking to obtain those amazing hairline we see in his patient pictures.

Adrian was superb in helping in coping with this surgery and explain in detail what was going to happen.

The procedure was over after 7hours and I must thank his wonderfull staff for putting up with me. Thank you the Alana`s team!

The initial estimate was 2500 then after the consult the Dr. bumped it up to 3000.

With existing hair I ended up with up to 75graft/cm in front and:

642 - Ones
1975 - Twos
789 - Threes
19 - Fours

Total: 3425 grafts/ 7035 hairs.

Dr. Rahal is a true professional and really put me at easy during the procedure.
He checked up on me the whole time and was allways a phone call away.

So, I expect amazing results and will be updating this album.

Cheers.

Portugal25,

Congratulations on your recent hair transplant with an elite hair transplant surgeon.

The first few days are the hardest dealing with some minor pain and tightness, but by the time you get your sutures/staples removed, you will be in pretty good shape and then the wait begins!

I hope you'll keep us updated on your progress.

Best wishes,

Falc

Over 3,400 grafts (in that area) and 75 per square cm in the hair line?...WoAH!!!
You are going to have one formidable mop my friend! Can't wait to see this baby grown out, congrats!

Four years on the forum, eh? That makes me feel somewhat better about having not had a ht yet! You averaged about one post a year (?)... Razz

Thanks for the comments guys and I too hope this procedure works out giving me a stylish hairdo!

Will be taking the stiches out this Wednesday after 12 days and giving the rest of my hair the buzz it needs!

I have posted my 12 Day pictures and I don´t know if they are any good but here`s hoping!

Good for you too wait Jupiter as I did the same and still Dr. Rahal had to be ethical about my procedure due to my age.

Thanks again for your comments!

I went on Propecia for almost 10 months but it was to hard to get used to take a pill every day and eventually I gave it up but when I did, I lost an insane aumount of hair. Will never use that stuff again!

I used Rogaine but it keept making my hair looking oily and therefore showing off my baldness so I gave that up to.

Gonna start Rogaine again for 12 months to increase blood flow and get my grafts growing faster.

Wish you the best when you go for your transplant.

Cheers.

Wouldn't that be a reason why you *would* use it (?)...

"I used Rogaine but it kept making my hair look oily and therefore showing off my baldness"...

yeah, me too! I hate that!!!

So, how old are you, 25?

Yeap, 25 last October.

Yeah it would be a reason to use it to keep your hair but after 7 days off Propecia you loose all you keept and more.

When you want to have kids you have to get off it and remember we are talking about taking a pill every day for the rest of your life! Sorry but that is just not for me, even women get a break with Menopause.

I will stick to my trusty Hair Transplant and will go back to Dr. Rahal if I need some more.

As for Rogaine I will be using it only for 12 months and when my hair growns in I will swap to Rogaine Foam to avoid oiliness.

Hello Guys!

Stiches Out! Hair Buzzed my hair using a number 2 razor (maybe to little, what you guys think?).

My scar seems nice, I don`t really know cause I am only looking at it from the pictures but my friends say its ok!

Appreciate any comments you guys might have!

Cheers.

I think your transplant looks like it is going to turn out very nice.
The scar doesn't look too bad either.
Dr. Rahal does some amazing work.

Hello Guys!

It has been one month since the glorious surgery and now it seems I have lost all my hair. I`m not sure if I have shock loss or if its just the lighting on the pictures.

I am hoping to loose this bald look asap and have started on Rogaine 3 days ago, cause it took forever to get here from the US.

What do you guys think? Is my evolution pretty standard so far or did I get some shock loss?

And the waiting continues!

Cheers everyone!

Your progress looks normal to me, after a month you will shed the new graphts. By month 4 you should see the new hairs coming through.

All the best your hairline design looks awesome
