Crown Redo--1800 grafts by Dr. Lindsey of Reston, VA by dr. lindsey (created on )Gallery | Comments

This man has had several transplants and a nice donor region still remains. Much of what he currently has in his crown is transplanted from previous surgeries done elsewhere, and he has lost his non-transplanted hair in this region which has left him thin.

We shaved his crown, and using 0.7mm slits, were able to densely pack (around his previously transplanted follicules) 1800 grafts.

Of note, one may suggest that a denser pack could have been done---HOWEVER, our goal was not to damage or transect any of the follicles that he had paid for elsewhere, and that were still nicely growing. We wanted to enhance his previous procedures.

The closeup at the end of the day shows the grafts we placed in his shaved scalp.

The picture at 10 days shows a combintion of the grafts that I placed and his pre-existing grafts.

Dr. Lindsey,

It's good to see you back in action. Thanks for posting.

The postoperative pictures look good and he is certainly healing very well for only 10 days. I hope you'll update this photo album as this patient progresses.

Thanks for offering more samples of your fine work.

Best wishes,

Falc

Falceros,

Updating to new computer put me off posting a week or so. I have sent you a few emails to the help... address. Check and see if you got them.

The new computer and my limited tech skills may have caused you not to get them at all.

Will include more pics of this fellow in a few months.

Just got an email from this patient. He is a few months out and is now trying to recruit another of our patients into a competitive volleyball league. Adds that he has had very little shockloss and is looking forward to fall when his growing season should be in full bloom.
