Thats a small amount of hair over a large area - will be interesting to see the outcome. Was there a particular resaon so few grafts were used over this area?

Jarringly low # of grafts; is this typical? And/or what's the reasoning? If it is typical, and quality results are produced, that's an amazing feat, indeed.

The guy is probably in his late 50s or early 60s and just wanted a little coverage,

The new hairline should shave frame his face nicely, but like the others have pointed out, not do much for density.

If you actually measure the area covered...from the anterior hairline to the pre-auricular line the patient actually has a depth, anterior to posterior of ~ 7cm and side to side ~10cm...this works out to about 35-40 sq cm, a follicular unit density of about 30 per sq cm...for this pt (as to what he expressed as his desired results and budget) this should give a very adequate result...I personalize ALL my treatments and if the pt wants more density I can provide this in the future...HOWEVER he probably will be happy and he has received a nice result for a more affordable price. Dr. Rosanelli,

It was very nice meeting and talking with you at the annual ISHRS conference and 10 year celebration party. From our discussions, your passion for your work and concern for your patients is second to none.

30 FU/cm2 is certainly a nice start and sometimes enough to portray a proper illusion of density. And if this patient chooses to add more density or coverage in the future, he can always go back for more.

It will be interesting to follow this patient's progress and see the final result.

Thanks for posting!

Best wishes,

Bill (Falc)
