i wanna hear your prediction guys. it's been hyped as one of the most anticipated MMA fights ever. perhaps one of the best fights including all of combat sports. so simply just post the name of the fighter that you guys think will be the winner.

PGP i hope you put your mortgage on the line for GSP last night at casino since let's face it dude - your boy Penn is going down tonight with a major Whoop-ass and that's with the capital W Wink

i hope you guys will be sport and i hope i'll see at least few posts when i come back tonight after the fight.

for all you MMA fans enjoy the event and please don't drink and drive Razz

every round was won with sheer dominance. i mean 10-8 on every scorecard on all 4 rounds. the only reason why Penn didn't want to go with 5th was because he didn't want to be humiliated anymore. i mean that was man vs. boy type of fight. i mean that was Superman vs. Robin type of thing. i mean i can't believe all those yanks voted 53% in favor for Penn right before the fight (no offence Wink), i mean WHAT UP with that?

oh well now we know for real who the best pound for pound fighter in the world is. o yeah and spider Silva bring it on.

wantego,
that boy Machida is something else. i was really impressed by his skills tonight. Machida - shotokan - karate. GSP - kyokushin - karate. do you see the patern? i can't believe he's rocking shotokan style as it's nothing but ballet Confused

cb,
be proud my friend and stay proud Cool

peace

I really do not respect BJ Penn as a person because of all his going over the line. His skills have to be respected but the kind of nasty things he says makes me not respect him as an athlete. I was glad GSP destroyed him. BJ called GSP a b#tch and said he was going to try and kill GSP with his trash talk nonsense leading up to the fight. I agree GSP dominated rounds 2,3 and 4. I had GSP winning 10-9 the first round which was more just a feeling out round in my opinion. GSP is my favorite MMA fighter but I have him as #3 best fighter in the world behind both Silva and Fedor.

Machida has always been a great defensive fighter with great skills but that often has not excited the crowd. Showing that knockout power last night was great. He does deserve a title shot. I always thought it would be a great fight vs Anderson Silva but they are friends and refuse to fight. Machida vs Rashad Evans should be really interesting as well although both can be counter punchers which may make a boring fight.

BJ suffers from the whole "tito ortiz syndrome" in that he's a heavy promoter... often of himself... all though, baby jay means well but comes off as a douche sometimes... tito on the other hand is complete douche all the time (in my opinion)...

BJ's a great fighter... but he's just too small these days for most 170 guys... even if he has grown into being a man and not a skinny kid like he was for the old caol uno/pulver lightweight days...

lets just pray they can get guys like eddie alv, shinya aoki, joachim hansen for him to fight at lightweight.... but thats wishful thinking

one last thing.... i wouldn't go walkin around the south US callin everyone yanks... i know what you mean by it... but for some guys its like spittin in their face

here is my list of top 3 pound for pound fighters at present time.

1. GSP
2. Anderson "The Spider" Silva
3. Fedor Emelianenko

my list is determined simply by looking at quality of opponents for each fighter.
