i have just been reading all the terrible stories about Advanced Hair Studio.
only last week i had a consultation with AHS in Cardiff,they showed me the video ,it looked great.
i went a few years ago to the same place and the price put me off £3,500
i went this time as they had a promotion,this time it was £1,500 ,this was for the 'strand by strand',i thought GREAT sounds good.
i payed £750 by credit card ,and had to pay balance when hair piece completed,the said about 8 weeks.
they made a template of my head,which i must say seemed very primitave,using cellotape and cling film,and had sample of my hair.
after reading all the horror stories,can someone help me,what should i do now???
also i go to look on their website,
and its dissapeared.

So you did end up buying the hairpiece? Did you recieve it yet? What you do, of course, is up to you. I have no experience with hairpieces...but I will tell you this...no matter what terminology anyone uses, it comes down to this...it's a wig. It might look better than the average wig and might look pretty natural...but there's a number of things you'll have to worry about...and all of them come down to MAINTENANCE and REPLACEMENT. I'll let anyone who has used a hairpiece chime in. Some people, however, despite the majority that I've read, do take well to hairpieces and swear by them.

What specifically do you want advice on?

no,,i have not recieved hairpeice yet,only last week i ordered,just wondered if there is anyone here who has had a good experience with AHS,before i go and pay the rest in about 7 weeks,
they say on my contract i have 2 weeks in which to change my mind,yes i will loose 15% of total,but maybe better than loosing 100% if all i have is problems after,

Do a search using the "find" feature on AHS and you will find additional posts on customers experience with them. Maybe this will help guide you to a decision about whether to follow thru. All I can say is do not let them burn you. Make noise or threats to get your money back. Many of these businesses prey on the shyness of its customers. Good luck.
