I don't know if I'm overreacting but I had my 3rd procedure a week ago to fill in between the grafts that were there before and I seem to be thinner now in that area. Is this normal and how long does this take to grow back? I was going for density but think I look worse right now. I was an NW 6 and now have only had 3000 grafts. I should add that my hair is very fine and, since I've let it grow long, has laid flatter. ALso, since the HT I haven't used any styling aids like spray to give it an illusion of volume. Any help or encouragement would be appreciated.

Sounds like normal shock loss to me. There is always the chance of transecting the original transplanted grafts, but I wouldn't worry about that until later and you have given it ample time to grow back. It sounds like this is a normal bout of shockloss to me.

You are only 3 weeks out, so this should have been expected. I would say to reassess the situation at around month six and then you can begin drawing a better picture of what happened.

Seriously, this all sounds normal. You're ok. Before you can even attempt to judge what is going on, give it a few months.

You are on the rollercoaster ride that many, as myself have been through.

TIME, TIME, TIME.. though it's the dreaded word, you'll get through it.

If you have any more worries, keep asking.. As of now, your ok. Everyone and every surgery is different.
