im begining to wonder if propecia has messed up my thyroid or if my hair loss was accelerated because of hypothyroidism. i ve been on propecia for 6 months now because of diffuse hair loss, but there was a minor pattern to it, so the docs were convinced it was MPB. i got my thyroid test about 4 weeks ago and my TSH was 6.8 which is high and the doc started me on hypothyroidism treatment(synthroid).
can propecia effect thyroid levels??
does, and if so when, hair grow back after using hypothyroidism treatment?
anyone have a similar expierience??

I've never heard of Propecia affecting the thyroid and it's not listed on Propecia's site, but I honestly don't know.

This sounds like a great question for your physician.

Be careful, some thyroid medications are notorious for additional hair loss.
I think Armour may be one of them.
