NG2GB is spot on

When I started losing my hair I thought it was shampoo, allergies, food, supplements and guess what.. None!

I was going bald due to genetics as is most people predisposed in their 20's..

You can make yourself believe anything

Hello.
I thank u all for replying.
since the last post here was 2 yrs back so i thought i`d have to wait till 2009 for a reply :-)

Propecia 7x
Revita 3-4x, Nizoral otc 2x
Rogaine Foam 5% (have yet to start)
HT Dr. Feller (Jan 8th 08')

Minox, Propecia, ht...Period.

are the above mentioned terms medicines?
if yes, i`ll have to check about their availability here in India.

I wash my hair every second day with an anti- dandruff shampoo as prescribed by my doctor.
i have a very little dandruff.
Is the frequency of wash too high?

another thing i`d like to mention that my hair have been very silky. silky n soft to the extent that i`ve been applying a little oil on them so that stay in place.
i`ve been doing this now for the past 5-7 yrs.

also, my hair are long and whenever i get a hair cut n keep them short, the hairfall reduces by a good 80%.
some people tell me that keeping long hair is the reason for my falling hair.
but i`ve noticed that i dont suffer from the Loose Anagen Syndrome coz only 1 out of 30 hair that fall have a thick bulb at the root.

the immediate thing i`m going to do now is visit a dermatologist.
i had always thought that homoeopathic treatment (which i`m undergoing for the last 1.5 yrs) are effective despite being very slow.

one thing i`d really like to know: does the hair that fall regrow?
i mean can i regain the lost hair on that very root from which it fell?

And here is my family history of hair loss:

my father is on an advanced stage of male pattern baldness. he`s 52 yrs of age!

my mother also developed female pattern baldness 8 months ago. she`s also taking the same treatment and her condition is stable.

but if its hereditary, y am i experiencing hairfall at such an early age?

This is a pretty old thread that became revived, just letting you guys know.
The only thing that causes MPB is DHT so i would not stop working out if I were you. Like the guys said go to a doc and get some proven meds that work...

Varun,

It is probably best that you start your own discussion thread in the "hair restoration question and answers" forum and you will most likely receive more help.

Many people start threads but when there is no more to say, it goes by the wayside - which is why it appears that there hasn't been a reply on this thread for over 2 years.

Assuming your hair loss is genetic, combatting hair loss with Propecia, Rogaine, and Nizoral or Revita is your best bet to maintain the natural hair you have and maybe even regrow hair.
