Hi -h
I'm 44 going on 45 and live in the valley of the sun. I chose Dr. Sharon Keene and received just a little over 2500 grafts. The majority of grafts were split between the hairline/frontal area and the crown and then some in between for density. The experience was a good one for me thus far. I really liked Dr Keene. She was very professional and yet very personalable in the same breath. She was very responsive to my emails and made this a positive experience for me. The surgery was a piece of cake. Having a low tolerance to medications, I was pretty much zonked out after the 4th valium. The only painful part was the deading of my scalp in the beginning. And yes it was pretty intense for me. HA, must be a whimp. I went in at 9:00 in the morning and received my last grafts around 7:00 P that nite. So it was an all day thing for me. I did have considerable swelling 2 days post op but it only lasted a couple of days. Never used any pain meds and was pretty much set from day 2 onwards. I haven't noticed many falling hairs but have really thinned out this past week. Didn't know to expect this, but will not worry from the things I have read on this site. So now I sit back and try and be patient for the new hair ride ahead :-) I do have some pics ... and will try and post some of my day 2 shots later today to show Dr Keene's fine work. thanks - G |
