Hi, i wondered if there is someone who ever used this topical solution. I read in articles that this combined with rogaine should be more effective. Does anyone know of this product?
Thanks

Greetz.

I've heard about it, but can't comment on how well it works. It is supposed to inhibit DHT as a topical preparation.

Since this site mainly concentrates on transplants, it may be hard to get feedback on some of the medications that are available.

I suspect that like Propecia, it works better at preventing hair loss, than it does at actually regrowing hair. I think that your interest in combining this with other treatments is the way to go... it does not seem to be a "stand-alone" product.

very funny how i came up with this product. I was in a bodybuilding-forum to find new excercices for the chest and i coulndt resist to type hairloss in the search-section since i know what some of those guys take isnt healthy for the follicules.
Seems like some steroids taken in combination with propecia accelerate the hairloss ( compared to use of the steroids without taking propecia ) and they use this topical and they seem to say it is very effective.
So if it is effective for guys who inject tons of testosterone in their body, it MUST have some sort of effectiveness for 'normal' guys like you and me.
Like you say, it isnt a stand alone-product so if it works: Bring it on.

Does anyone have experience with this topical solution?

Thanks

Greetz.

I was using it, in conjustion with propecia prior to my HT and I'm not sure what it was from, but I did have some hairs cropping up between my island and the mainland that weren't there nefore starting.

Like I said though, that could have been the propecia or the creme or a combination.

I found some info on it at hair loss help I think it was.

Good luck.

I've been using the 5% cream from Dr. Lee for about a year now in conjunction with 5% minoxidil and propecia. I can't say for sure how much it's working since I'm using all 3 at once, but I'm doing everything possible to keep the remianing non transplanted hair that I have.

hey man, you are absolutely right, as i recall, you had hairline work done and it is best to be able to postpone a follow-up HT as long as you can, your HT looks very good. For how long have you been taking these meds? And have you lost a lot of hair while being on these meds?
Thanks

I've been taking 5% minox for many years (don't remember exactly but it's probably been over 5). I started taking 1/5 proscar daily since 8/1/02, and started using 5% spiro on 12/1/02. My vertex and crown are in much better shape since I've started proscar and spiro. I also use Nizoral shampoo twice per week. I wish I had a "before" pic of the top of my head to show a comparison.

Hey man, glad to hear your good results. Could you tell me where you buy the spiro? Or someone else who knows? How many times do you apply it? Do you use minox twice a day? Cause i dont think i can find the time to apply something on my hair 3 times a day and then wait an hour before i can use other products on my hair, maximum twice.
I hope you but it of the net cause i live in europe and i dont know if they sell it here.

Thanks

Greetz.

I apply the minox twice - once in the morning after I shower on towel dried hair, and then before bed. I only use the spiro before bed; I apply it about 10 minutes after the minox. I get mine from Dr. Lee at www.minoxidil.com.
