Just out of curiosity, does anyone know exactly why Avodart was not granted FDA approval or if it will ever be reviewed for approval again?

Reason is they have not tested it for "hairloss" purposed but I have heard they have resumed doing so. it has not been submitted as a hairloss treatment. It's a long process

I see. I'm just trying to plan ahead here. I've been on finasteride for about 1.5 years and have'nt experienced any problems, but I'm trying to gather some info on alternatives just in case it stops working years down the road. I am totally comfortable on it and don't want to have to switch, but I'm just trying to prepare myself for the worst case scenario. Or maybe by that point something even better than Avodart will be out there! Thanks JOBI.

Ahh. Well, I've been on Propecia for 7 years and it hasn't stopped or lost effectiveness.. Hopefully they will develop something new but my HT's should take care of some of the issue
