Recently (4 weeks), I started to notice some accelerated hair loss along the front hairline. I am trying to figure out (if there is anything to figure out) what the cause may be. I am looking for any advice or information. During the past 4 weeks the only change to my routine has been 1) Starting taking GNS multi vitiman Sport daily (horse pills) 2) Creatine daily 3) My proscar presciption came from a different geneneric mfg - bought from the same place, Drugstore.com - but the mfg was different from the last one.
My question is - could any of these recent changes attribute to more hair loss? Is there a difference between who makes the generic proscar. Thoughts on creatine and increased hormones? Some general history - I've been taking propecia and then proscar for 3-4 years. The last 2 years, its been great with no noticiable hairloss anywhere. I'm 40 with some family history of hairloss. BTW - been reading this forum on and off for 3-4 years and I got to say that this is a great place for information and mental support. Big thanks to everyone on here - you may not hear it enough but this forum stuff really helps and you are doing a great service to countless people you don't even realize. Thanks |

Hey there
im sure there will be different opinions because i guess how do i say it..."hair loss is complicated" let me get to what i want to say that im sure other people might agree about getting the proscar from a different place, was the original place that you purchased it from a physical store? well many people say that you should NOT get medication from online stores, YOU JUST DONT KNOW WHAT YOU ARE GETTING and number 2) creatine, this topic i guess is up in the air, many people think it accelerates hair loss, some dont I do think it contributes to hairloss i took it for 3 months straight, and it was at that date that i got more and more focused to my hair loss... i did gain alot of weight and mass from creatine but it was at a loss they say this creates hair loss because the creatine gives you more energy which results in you working out more which makes you build more muscles which requires hormones which results into DHT, which leads into hairloss but on the other side of the topic people dispute that how much of the hormones goes into the hair for DHT when it can be distributed to your whole body well my word of advice just to see what happen i recommend getting back on the original proscar that u had and either Cut down on creatine use or stop it instead of creatine use i would recommend going to GNC and getting protein supplements, they work wonders, i got alot more muscles from them compared to creatine hope i helped |
