I'm thinking about getting a hair transplant for my front hairline, I've been losing hair, plus i have a high hairline. I'm only 20 though.

I'm not trying to not just regrow my front hairline but i also want to transplant more hair for a new lower hairline. What do you guys think?

Since you are so young, you have to assume that you are going to continue to recede in the hairline. So, if you get an ht now, you will need to do follow up work down the line. I would always put off surgery for as long as possible, especially at such a young age, because you don't know how bad it will get. You could try revivogen or propecia. I started on propecia a few months back. I personally do not like taking drugs and no one knows the long term effects. But, i hate losing my hair more, so i am trying it. I would definitely wait on the hair transplant.

you could also try buzz cutting or shaving your hair first to see how you look. Some people look excellent with that style. Also, try and take care of yourself. Eat healthy, exercise, work out and stay confident. These things may help you look great without the surgery.

if you look back at my other posts.. i've tried a bunch of stuff, from chinese herbals, proscar, rogaine, none of it really does anything for my front hairline, it helps my temples a bit, but my hairline has been receeding ever since. And since i have a high hairline to begin with, i look even worse.

I don't mind follow-ups but in general.. this transplant would be to give me a lower hairline, something that i've always had to live with.. so anyone know any good transplant doctors in the NJ/NY area?
