I was curious if anyone on this board uses dut.? Now that there's a generic version, I just began this week. I was on 1.25mg of proscar for 20 months, things were going great at first, but the last 4 months I began to lose hair again, and even began to lose hair on the hair line which wasn't a problem before. I wanted to hear other people's results with Dut.

I don't believe that stuff has been approved yet & Jotronic has some horror stories about unexpected body reactions to it. Also, Whoops was on it but stopped & went back to Finasteride. Beware, beware. I'm also tempted to give it a go but I shall wait a bit to get more positive feedback.

The info I've read on Avardart and hairloss is good, however clinical experience has shown it to be no better than propecia even though it covers 2 receptors. Actually, I've read more additional hairloss on Avardart from patients (dont know the reason for this?) This might be why Glaxo kept having their indication for hairloss delayed and postpone? Stay on Propecia.
socialdrinker, sadly, it's an indian brand from dr reeds lab. it's half the price of regular avodart, and i've only heard good things about dr reedy's drugs (well, whether they're legit or not), so i was willing to take the chance. i too have read some of the horror stories, but i've heard more stories that it matains hairs and gives slightly more regrowth. at this point, i'm considering of shaving my head down to a zero and keeping it that way, so i figure i have nothing to lose, really.
