I am 4 days postop and everything went extremely well(in my limited opinion). The only problem is that I REALLY want to scratch my head. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance. Mike

Mike,
I have had 5000 grafts done over 4 visits and
had the same problem with mine which was primarily along the suture line site. I got a spray bottle, placed several tablespoons of table salt and filled the bottle . It was about an 16 oz bottle. One the water is saturated the salt
will not dissolve and will settle to the bottom.

You can also used Sodium Chloride irrigation
but I found the the more saturated the water
was with salt the more soothing it was. As a
pharmacist I come up with many "discoveries"
sometimes . The itching is a sign of the healing
process which should reside in 10-14 days when the scabbing process is over . The sodium chloride will speed the healing process. Hope this helps.

Greg D.

Per my doctor's instructions, I used regular saline solution, the kind you use on contact lenses, in a spray bottle. I misted my head several times a day. No worry about harming the grafts, as anything you can put in your eyes is safe for your follicles.

It's been two months since your HT with DR. Tessler, how's it going so far? Do you recommend him with all the negative things said about him on this forum? Do yo recommend that I go to one of the other doctors that others have rave about. What made you chose Dr. Tessler since I thought you were planning to go elsewhere?
