Irish Guy,

One of our members, "hairworthy" can give you some insight on his experience with UK physicians. From what I gather, it was not a pleasant one. I'm sure he won't mind replying to this thread and he is very knowledgeable.

Concensus seems that Dr Bessam Farjo (Farjo clinic Manchester) or Dr Micheal May (Medcent, London)are the top UK HT surgeons.

They are also both members of the IAHRS and Bessam Fajo is very active in the society. I have met with both. I was given more time by Bessam Farjo. I would also ask the question of the skills of the technicians and their experience as it is they who will do the cutting of the strip and also most of the FU insertions.

Both use stereomicroscopes and I would consider no one else in this country. But look at the exchange rate with USA/Canada and it may not seem such a strange ides to go to some of the top HT surgeions in the USA. They and their technical staff will benefit from a higher turnover of the patients and therefore generally the staff will have more experience. Just look at the forums for advice of North American surgeons.
