Anyone care to weigh in on using minoxidil after an HT? I'm already taking Proscar and will be starting 2-3000 mg MSM soon.

When can you start applying minox after an HT?
How long should you use it?
Thoughts on 2% 5% or combination use?
Reasons to use or not use?

Thanks in advance...

Use ROgain 5% about 4 wks after surgery. It will allow extra blood to the new FU and help speed up healing.

I started using Rogaine three days after my HT surgery, as per my doctor's instructions.

I also started using Minox 5% twice a day twice after my HT. Since my recipient area was all up front, Ive been using the 1 mL as stated on the bottle on the top and crown and another mL on the recipient area. If Im going somewhere that I cannot wear a hat, Ill use 2% in the morning instead of 5% because its not as greasy. Ill alwasy use 5% at night though. You can get Minoxidil so cheap, I figure why not?

Dr. Cooley also did my HT.
