Hi,
This is my first post in this Forum.
Nice to find so many ready to help and happy for those who got their peace of mind back (with a transplant or a hair system).
About me, my age is 28 and i started loosing hair since i was 20/21. I am from India and currently i am in US.
I am planning to leave to India for a couple of months in February and my aim is to grow hair back via a transplant. After going through this forum i found that it is not possible to grow hair via transplant in such short term(less than 3 months). So, i am planning to go for a Hair system (probably, Hair Club). If time permits, i am planning to have a transplant in India.
I need opinions on my case. I have following questions:
1. If i put on a hair system, can i undergo a transplant and put the system back without hurting the area of surgery?
2. Does putting on a hair system damage exisiting hair?
3. Are there any better options besides 'Hair Club' to get a hair system? If yes, what are they?

Looking desperatly for some help.

Thanks in advance for the responses.

Welcome to the forum!

I'll take a stab at answering your Q's.

1) Many have gotten HT's, then used a hair system until the HT grows in. You will however need to leave the system off for the scalp to heal........I'd say a period of at least 2 weeks or maybe a little more, then you could go back to wearing it, ask your Doc for sure. You may want to send a PM to a poster named "Bushy" who I know used one.

2) No, wearing a hair system will not damage your existing hair.

3) I have no clue, I NEVER considered a hair system. Maybe someone else can respond to this Q.

Best of luck to you.

helpmee,

Welcome to our community.

Hairbank already gave you some excellent advice.

There are other places to get a hair system so if you are considering it, look into all your options carefully.

There was a forum member awhlie ago who posted under the Hair Systems forum (I forget his name) who shared his story and posted a link to a video about hair systems. Keep in mind that he is probably one of the few I've ran into that liked hair systems. Make sure you understand all the maintenance costs and program involved in wearing a system before purchasing it.

Best wishes,

Falc

Hairbank and Falceros,

Thanks for the welcome and the advice.

I started my research on remedies to hair loss recently. I had never used any medication too. Since i am planning to have an HT soon, is it better to start taking any medication? If yes, what would be it?

Besides 'Bushy', is there any other member of this forum who had used an hair system?

Also, i want to know of doctors doing HT in India and are recommended in this forum.

Thanks for the advice again.

Beware

A hair sytem can harm existing hair if it is tighly fastend to the hair. We have seen this on here in some cases. Overall, the system wont but I would rather not have a system and just get a HT.
