Hello, I'm 51.Started wearing a haipiece when I was 23,I had hair falling out hourly, dandruff, etc. I was a mess[still am]I had my 1st hair transplant at age 50 2500 fu's,now I'm going back in 6 weeks for another 2500 fu's, I went to the best brothers in Bloomington ,MN[you know EM],lucky for me I found them on this web site. I was a norwood 6.5 ish. This message is for all you young guys out there, SEE YOUR DOC right away, and deal with your hairloss with the NEW proven drugs. [that weren't there when I was young]AND READ THIS WEB SITE ALOT ! then if you want a hair transplant, start soon and do fill in's etc,Don't wait until all your hair falls out, and NEVER NEVER buy a hairpiece.Without question the hardest thing I've ever done in my entire life was {is}making that transition from big full head of hair[fake] to my real new growing real hair, by the time I'm done and I feel real again ,2 years will have past, before I can go without a hat,do you know how sick of hats I am? Luckly I became disabled and can no longer work,so my old job boys can't make fun of me and my hair, scalp issues[ESAD boys]. I'll be so glad when next summer comes '08 ,maybe I can finally walk down a F...... street without a F...... hat.If you want to work on hair loss see your qualified DOC ! FAST! or shave your mellon,or buy a boat load of hats, but DON'T start with hairpieces, glue tape, updates, special private hair cuts, Don't do it, it SUCKS. Thanks for reading my statement.START YOUR HAIR LOSS TREATMENTS EARLY IN LIFE, TRY TO SAVE YOUR HAIR !,TAKE CARE OF YOUR HAIR !

eugene, it is great that you got out from under that rug & you are in the process of restoring your hair.

I have not gone hatless in probably 15 years!
It does suck! So I am hoping for the same as you in 2008.

thanks for coming here & posting your experience with hairpieces.
It may go a long way in stopping someone from making that mistake.

BTW, It is ok to mention the name of your Doctor here.
In fact we prefer if you do.

Keep us posted,

Eugene,

What a powerful post! We feel your relief and hope your HT changes your life.

Looking back, had you saved all the money you spent on hairpieces and maintenance you could have paid for several HT's which are truely "maintenance free".

Good luck and keep us posted.
