has anyone here been on rogaine for 5+ years?

if so is it ture that it eventually stops working becasue your body builds an immunity to it.

As I understand it, the stuff is basically like a "concealer" at a chemical level. It makes the hairs grow stronger when you're using it, but it doesn't do anything to stop the DHT from continuing to damage the hair follicles. The rate of loss doesn't really slow down once the initial "boost" during the first few years is past.

I've been on rogaine 5% for over 7 years and recently stopped using the product since it stopped working a long time ago. I'd say in the first 2 years I had great results then progressively thereafter, it stopped working entirely. I thought at the very least I was maintaining my hair but it really stopped working completely after 3 years. Has anyone heard about cycling on and off minoxidil to prevent against minoxidil resistance?
