Im 32, been on propecia for 2.5 yrs (hs been retaining well). Use rogaine as well and around a NW 2a and migratng south. After many years of contemplation, research and all Ive seen a couple doctor local, selected Dr. Brandon Ross in SoCal. I have a date slated soon and Im starting to go thru that "am I sure I want to do this" mode. I read the posts as a guest for sometime and I figured Id ask a handful of my worries just so I have a first hand input from you folks ho have bee where Im going.
Firs off, the shot. How painful is the shot in the donor are and then the one in the receipient temporal areas?
Is swelling inevitable or can it be prevented? How bad is it? In your eyes? Is it painful/are there any long term effects from it?
Does your scalp and back of your head feel uncomfortable for long time? Is it like a nagging headace for a few days or?
When does the feeling sensation return to the temporal area and the donor area? Are there cses of permanent nerve damage?
Providing all goes well Im expected to nothave to worry about my hirline or people obviously lookin and saying he had a HT. Results I see are really good with FUT these days and unless you have a magnifiying glass or a Doctor who does it I cant tell. (unless the hairline is weird looking.
Do you hear the doctor reoving the donor strip? Since its permanent im freaked out that it looks natural this is so important. How much hair I yield from the transplant is important I just want to make sure I cross reference what ive researched over the year with real people who have had it
Why is it many people with HT hae wavy or curly hair in the front. My hair ist wavy or curly Ive asked and Im assuming my hair will hae the same characteristics as it does currently. It should right?
Im just looking for legtimate expectation and no more propaganda, I sincerey appreciate your information and responses. Thnks
If you are a NW 2 have you considered getting on finasteride, continuing the minox, and seeing what happens? If not happy after doing the medication thing, since you are a low NW level, are you even considering FUE?
I live in socal, and I've never heard of Dr. Ross..does he do all FU procedure or the mini/micrografts that many times leave crappy results? Be very careful man..there are alot of sharks in this part of the Pacific Ocean.
