Okay... I thought I was going crazy for a while, but I don't think so anymore.
I had 2000+ grafts with Shapiro in May, and now it's October. I was seeing steadying thickness each month... But now... this month.. I'm quite sure I'm losing some of the thickness. I can see my scalp again, where, over the summer, it was hard to -- even with the sunroof open. I'm not sure what's going on, but I feel like my transplanted area is losing / shedding the hair I got. Can anyone tell me if a) this is normal or b) this has happened to them and is abnormal. I stopped using the Rogaine on the transplanted grafts about two months ago. Is this what I get for stopping? Thanks in advance. |

Jerry,
It very well may be a "shed" from stopping the use of Minoxidil. It could also just mean that much of the hair in that area is on the same cyclic rate. Is there a reason that you stopped the minoxidil? The fact that you said that it was two months since you stopped usage makes me believe that this is most likely the culprit, as that is about the time (a little less, actually) it usually takes for a change in your regimen to become noticeable. How about getting back on the minox just in the evenings? -Robert ------------------------------ Check out the results of my surgical hair restoration performed by Dr. Jerry Cooley by visiting my Hair Loss Weblog |
