Hello, Im 17 turning 18 this june, and ive had a receding hairline, at mostly the side burn area ever since i was a kid, ive been wanting to do something about it for a good 2 years now, and i am pretty lost on where to go from now, i am not completely sure on the prices, about how much transplants i would need, or the different kinds of transplants that are out there. if anyone out there could help me out with any advice or opinions, i would appreciate it very much. thank you all - Mitch.

when you say a receding hair line at mostly the side burn area, do you mean at your temple points? this is the triangular area behind your eye brows. or do you mean your actual hair line?
first off, your too young for a ht. No ethical doc would perform surgery on you at this age.
second, if it is something that has been happening "since you were a kid" then it probably isn't male pattern baldness.

XxMitchxX,

Welcome to our forum community.

At only 17 years old, you are not a candidate for a hair transplant. Hair loss is progressive and those who start to lose hair at very early ages are at higher risk for losing more hair than someone who starts to lose hair in their late 20s or early 30s. Talk to your physician about using Propecia and Rogaine which are the two best non surgical hair loss treatments that may stop your hair loss in its tracks. They might even help regrow hair.

Best wishes,

Falc
