I started using propecia at age 24. it didn't grow any hair but I do suspect it helped prevent some loss. Around age 27 I began to have sexual trouble. also, I drink semi-heavily but am still atheletically active. around age 28 I began having extremely violent hang overs. not even hang overs, just like extreme reactions. I quit propecia and these problems went away. I tried propecia again and sure enough, the violent pain, sweating, and achign organs returned. Not to mention the sexual dysfunction
So, I have never heard anyone mention this reaction to propecia and alcohol. Again, I drink a significant amount on weekends 10-12 drinks per day. Has anyone had this reaction? I know Propecia can eventually tax the kidneys.
Anyhow, I have been on Rogaine now for a month and have never lost so much hair. At what point should i quite rogaine if it continues to accelerate my hair loss.
Also, I tried Regenplex... don't do it. It's a horrible scam.
If you were still on propecia I would have suggested that you drink a lot of water. This may decrease the harshness of your hangovers and give your kidneys some relief. as you probably know many people report sexual problems due to propecia, I have heard it was once used to castrate men in high doses so sexual side effects are certainly not un common.
Rogaine does cause shedding at first because it is programmed to kill weak thin hairs and replace them with strong ones. Unfortunately it doesn't stop the main hair loss problem DHT so Rogaine will not be as effective propecia. Stick with it though and look for blond baby hairs sprouting.
