Spex provided a great link. The purpose of hair loss medication is to help stop the progression of male pattern baldness. Transplanted hair is permanent whether you take hair loss medication or not. The chance you will need subsequent hair restoration surgeries however, may increase if your hair loss continues. Hair loss medication may slow it down or stop it.
