I was told not to go out into the sun for extended periods of time until at least 3 months post op. The reason this is a concern is my work takes me outside a lot, and I am trying to determine when to have my next procedure. Idealy I would go in April/May, but that leaves a long summer in the hot sun. What is the reason for the 3 month period? Will there be damage to the grafts? My skin tends to tan instead of burn so maybe I am less at risk? any opinions?
