Guys, my beautiful wife has problems with thinning hair at the front. She wears weaved hair to disquise this so I can't even describe the problem to you. Three years ago, she went to Bosley and had a $7500 procedure done. We recently returned for a follow-up where she returned to the waiting room in tears and said something about them saying the would be returning some of her money. Within the week, they have sent a very thorough looking waiver form for a claim of $8000 to be processed. We don't even understand what the diagnosis is. This has got alarm bells ringing in my mind. Have you guys heard of anything like this? Would that be a standard practice before issuing a refund? Should I be concerned about future problems? I know this is vague but you know what I know!

If I understand correctly it seems they want you to sign a release in order to refund $8,000 due to your wife's treatment not meeting expectations. First, I am sorry about this situation and I feel for you guys. I was lucky to not go to Bosley before I found this site but I could have ended up there as well. The more you read and learn on this forum, the better you'll understand why the big hair mills such as Bosley are not recommended and even many other private Dr. practices. Second, I believe it's great that you get your money back if that's the case. I would consult an attorney to make sure the process is fair and that you understand the terms of the settlement. Last, you'll find on this forum wonderful resources for HT repairs and even some which specialize in women's specific hair loss patterns. Keep us posted, some other members might be able to offer more help.

I had some shitty work done from Bosley and they didnt offer me my money back. My doc was insulted that i wasnt happy w/ my results. I would say take the money, but perhaps they are trying to nip a "bigger" prolem in the but by offering you your money back.
I would say to consult w/ another HT doc and see what they think the problem is, and also consult w/ an attorny. Was your wife happy w/ her results? |
