Hi i'm new to this site and am considering have HT surgery, but obviously cost is a big deal. I've heard that going to another country like Argentina you can ge this surgery done rather cheap and the surgeons are skilled because it is a private hospital. One of the site I have been looking at is called plenitas.com, I was just wondering if anyone has heard anything about this site or the whole going to another country deal. Thanks.

Bo Trucker,

Welcome to the Hair Restoration Research forums. I edited your message to take out the clickable link to an outside website. Forum rules stipulate that no links to outside websites are permitted.

If you are looking to have a great vacation and get a great hair transplant from one of the best hair restoration physicians in the world, check out Dr. Arthur Tykocinski in Brazil.

Here are just a couple of examples of his artistry:

1,985 Follicular Unit Transplant

2,230 Follicular Unit Transplant

Bo, the fact that the hospital is private is not an indication that they would do a good hair transplant. Every hair transplant surgeon in the U.S. is private, yet many do very bad transplants. Be very careful and take the time to do some in depth research. Find out about what is an "ultra refined follicular unit" transplant. Very few doctors are actually able to perform it.

There are a lot of great Doctors in Argentina, in fact the Doctors with Plenitas are good. BUT Plenitas is a total ripoff. You will stand at the airport for hours waiting for them to pick you up, if they pick you up at all. Then the price on the package you bought suddently doubles or triples and they act like they are doing you a favor by driving you to their bank so you can give them more money. They do NOT honor any contracts or prices they gave while you were in the US. When reproached, they say so, sue us and the U.S. Embassy is of no help because it is a civil manner. I tried to cancel everything when the price went up 100 percent of what I had already paid, and they refused to return any of my money. It's been 8 months and I'm still waiting

hey, i am new at this site. and recently, i have been in contact with Planitas and they have given us a rather fair price. However, after reading JOHN77's message... i am not sure anymore... esp about the part where Planitas raised price on JOHN77. b/c they have been very pushy about us transfering money to them via WESTERN UNION yet we really want to transfer the money via paypal for safety esp when the planitas site said they accept paypal payment. so if anyone else has been to Planitas please let us know, we would really appreciate it thank you
