This is stupid and irrelevant, to a point, but really am curious.

Who and what Doctor, had movies or television playing during their procedure?

The reason I ask is, because I have read a lot from people who had excellent results from excellent doctors, and were able to watch television or a movie during their procedure.

I've had 2 HT's and no TV, and am not satisfied with my results.

I am curious if this may have an artificial relation.

Thanks for you responses...
Ya, stupid question..
But heck, you didn't think of it!

Also, a farmers note... NO I AM NOT A FARMER!!
They play classical music to the cows for better milk production..

A relation? Maybe as long as I'm not getting milked! Razz

It’s funny how things get analyzed in our heads…

I was thinking that maybe popular movies get watched so much that the staff that is working on your head may get so sick of hearing them over and over (and practically know the script from a movie by heart). The person getting the HT may get different quality of work done on any given day depending on the movie that was chosen.

Also a particular day (such as mine this Monday) I know I and a lot of people I work with are pretty worn out after a weekend of fun and everyone looks like it is a tremendous chore just to crawl back to work Monday morning. I am hoping that isn’t the case in the HT department also!

Then again Friday could be a bad day since everybody rushes through (at my job) just to get the hell out of there for two days!

All of the above isn’t taken into account of personal problems each individual on the staff may be going through also as your being worked on the chair, (cheating spouses, big bills, dog died etc.)

Hey maybe I will have a couple of those pain killers doc!

Q, everyone is human.. That's why I asked the question...
Here is where the question came from.... The supervisor above my boss (I'll call him "The Man"), noticed another colleague wearing shorts.

This raised the issue off appropriate office wear.

In discussion with another supervisor, he stated that ("The Man") was correct in his assumption. And also found that my etire was not upto pare, being in realtion to a supervisor.
Now mind you, I am 29. And am considered the elder of "Generation X".

I was quick to say, but people work their best in there own comfort zone. You see it from my performance.
In agreement to that, but still stuck to his opinon. I responded back, "I can't wait for all the stuffies to get out of business, and us into the modern world."

Well that got a laugh but, does bring a point, about people working their best in their zone.

After all said I gave up shorts for pants, BUT,
THANK GOD I DIDN'T HAVE TO GIVE UP MY HAT!!!!!! and !!!!! It has the company logo on it...

When I had my HT done with Shapiro, I didn't take them up on their offer to watch a movie or TV. When I went into the procedure room there was already some music playing kinda low and I figured that I would rather have the techs working on me comfortable and relaxed. I figured it was my job to sit still and let them do their work without any other distractions. It wasn't too difficult to do with a valium or two in me!!

so we are thinking these excellent results have something to do with whether you watch a movie during the procedure or not??...are you people insane??..how ridiculous!

Everyone knows it has to do with whether or not you have a caesar salad for dinner the night before, and if you then sleep on the right of left side of the bed!

Well,
Sorry that some of us are spoiled?? Dont feel left out. Yes, most offices are equiped with Satalite TV and DVD's to choose from or pay for view movies. By your doctor not having a TV doesnt make him a bad surgeon-- he just needs to update his office.

You should also be able to bring your own DVD's as well. Rugger brought a bunch of Oprah and Days Of Our Lives re-runs and two boxes of tissue.

This wasn't a serious topic about whether or not it would make for a good procedure. I was just curious to see if there was much relation. You'd be surprised what little and simple things it takes to get things done better and more efficiently.
