Hi Clive,

Very good question. FUE carries a much higher risk of follicles dying before transpant as they are removed individually. FUT , or the strip method, really does produce much more healthy and lasting follicles for transplant. See (promotional link removed) and view the comparison between FUE and FUT. I used this guy for my own surgery and he is seriously good. He's been practising almost 20 years - he knows his stuff, he'll see you for your consult too - very important.

God luck, James

As a novice to this forum, is there any difference in the results from strip to FUE with regards to the growth /success of the grafts? Obviously agree totally with the need to use what little hair i have got wisely, so my main concern is not location of the surgeon, or cost (within reason) but purely the result i achieve , i.e growth of permanent hair from a high % of grafts.

James,

I am pleased that you are a satisfied Dr. Kiely patient and hope that you will post your results on our forum for us to see.

Given our recent conversation however, I am not convinced that you are not affiliated with them and using our forum as a means to promote them. Therefore, I have removed the promotional link to Dr. Kiely's website.

Please see our terms of service for more information on this.

I do hope that you will create a new thread to share your experience and photos.

Best wishes,

Falc

I strongly believe one can only talk about there own results with these 2 techniques and not about the technique in general.
