you got more useful stuff than i did.all i
received was the shampoo, pain and sleeping pills
and pills for hick-ups which i thankfully did
not get.i bought my bacitracin ointment so at
least you got that.the graftcyte shampoo should
only be used the first 10-14 days, then use your
regular shampoo(s)the pills are helpfull the
first few nights after that you shouldn't need
pain and sleep pills.at your point now you
shouldn't need any of the stuff he gave you.
what are now 3 weeks post op.you should be feeling
much better.good luck and fast healing!

Figsy,

Thanks you for the info. i'm now 16 post-op and still use graftcyte shampoo becasue i still have alot of scab that did not fall off. Is there a chance of damge HT hair if i kept using the graftcyte shampoo after 14 days post-op ??

Is there any way that i can do i get those scab off beside keep using this graftcyle shampoo ??

What kind of shampoo did you currently use in place of graftcyte ??

When did you begin to see your HT hair shed ??

thanks,

danny

no, you won't do damage using the graftcyte shampoo.however you should change up your
shampoo as hair will usually look better when
switching shampoos.in other words when you
use the same old shampoo you hair gets used
to it and will look dull, and the first day
with a new shampoo the hair looks vibrant and
healthy again.as far as the scabs, like i said
earlier i walked and jogged so the sweating
helps loosen the scabs it doesn't make the grafts
rise like after the shower so sweating will help.
as far as shampoos,i use several and change them
often so my hair doesn't get used to one.i use
nizoral,various redken shampoos,nioxin,joico etc.
i started shedding at about one month and looked
pretty much identical to the way i did prior to
the ht at about 6 weeks, although i did have some
hairs that never fell out and just kept growing,
but not many.your a little more than 2 weeks so
your shedding will come within 1-2 more weeks.
have you called dr.b with any questions about
your ht worries?i'm wondering cause i never did
and i'd like to know how he helped you with
some of your questions in case i ever needed
to phone him when and if i go back a second time.

cool

Hi figsy,

I have tries to call DR B couple of time but has no luck .. alway busy.. only speak with the nurse.

Are all the shampoo you mention proven to help regrowth hair ??

Do you use any drug to speed hair growth (propecia,rogain...) ??

thanks,

Danny

i'm dissapointed to hear that you have tried to
reach dr. b with no luck.after calling a couple
of times with no response i would have demanded
at least a phone call back, were your concerns
at least answered by someone else, not that its
acceptable but you did pay a lot of money you
should be handled with kid gloves.
realistically no shampoo is going to regrow
hair so use what makes your hair look good.
yes i use rogaine and propecia on blind faith
cause neither one seems to do much for me.the
only thing that seems to regrow any hair so
far is my 1300 graft transplant.

Hi figsy,

Yeah, dr b has call me one the day after the sugery then that is it i never get to talk to them, but there will a saminar at in Boston this Saturday. i hope to see him that day and have him take alook at my HT hair.. by the way how long do you stay away from the sun ??

What do they mean by stay away from the sun ?? are they mean do not sit directly under sun like hang out at the beach or no sun at all ??

when they say stay out of sun they mean direct
sun in the summer months or tropical vacation
sun(warm weather sun)not sun in general especially
here in ny,nj, mass it's winter here now and spring
is coming but this type of sun exposure is not
dangerous.by the time summer comes with strong
sun you will be 4-5 months post op and sun won't
be a problem at that time.i guess if someone
were to get an ht in june, july and august when
summer heat is here it wouldn't be smart to burn
in sun on the beach, but again by that time you'll
be ok. cool

After I run out of Graftcyte shampoo, what type should I buy? Meaning, shouldI use a a mild shampoo and conditioner such as Johnson&Johnson for kids?
When can I go back top stronger shampoo's and conditioners such as Head&Shoulders?

Also, can I use conditioner at the same time that I'm using graftcyte?

Thanks.
