Whats up guys.....I'm 27, started taking propecia when I was 21 and have had 3 TPs. I still am slowly loosing hair taking the 1mg propecia.
1. Has anyone found that taking Dutasteride is better? 2. Is there anyone in my shoes who has experienced a slowdown in hair loss using propecia AND then changed either the dossage or meds they take to STOP it? Let me know--Thanks! |

Re: Finasteride, you will find that all medical researches (including the one carried out by Merck & available on their website) & most HT doctors websites suggest that increasing the recommended dosage (1mg per day) is VERY UNLIKELY to improve your results. As studies are based on hundreds of individuals, there may be some exceptions, and you might be lucky (there are also people who did not see ANY change at all with Finasteride), but the odds are against you.
Re: Dutasteride, as this is a rather "new" drug, there doesn't seem to be a lot known about long-term results. 0.5mg is the recommended dosage. 3045 FUs with Dr Victor Hasson on 8 June 2004 1836 FUs with Dr Jeffrey Epstein on 2 March 2006 Regimen: 1.25mg Proscar every other day |

If you do a search you will find info regarding your question. One poster here switched from finasteride to dutasteride with poor results.
