Hi Pat,
If you come over to Europe than you are more then welcome to visit Prohairclinic in Belgium or Ilterclinic in Sweden.
If the opportunity gives you can actually witness a 2500 FUE graft session.

Hi Pat,

I know most of the top doc are in the US and Canada. Perhaps you could shed some light on top docs elswhere, as lots of people (for different reasons) may not have the luxury of going to the US or Canada. Here some worth visiting in Europe, Australia, and India who should be considered in your list of recommended surgeons:

Dr. Ray Woods (Australia) He invented FUE. Don't think he does strip though.

Dr. C. Bisanga (Belgium) Does FUE and Strip. Relatively new but has outstanding results. I'm scheduled to have a strip procedure with him this month.

Dr. Arvind Poswal or Dr. A (India) Does strip and fue. See some good results from him in other forums.

Also noticed Dr. Melike Külahçi (Turkey) on your list of recommended docs. Would be interested to see a visit to her clinic.

Regards.

Another noteworthy doctor to visit in Europe is Dr. Jean DeVroye of Belgium. I have personally seen his HT technique on number of occassions as well as assist him at the European Conference in Zurich last year. Dr. DeVroye splits his residence between Belgium (Brussels) and New York.

I'm employed as the lead medical tech and surgical manager for the Shapiro Medical Group. Feel free to ask me any questions.

Barca,

Thanks for your suggestions. You are right that this community is over due for taking a closer look at clinics in Europe.

I agree with Janna that Dr. Jean DeVroye of Belgium does impressive work. Dr. DeVroye and Dr. Melike Külahçi of Turkey have both been recommended on the Hair Transplant Network over the past few years.

I'm also curious about Dr. C. Bisanga in Belgium, Dr. Rogers in England and a couple of other clinics in Europe.

I have been to a couple of international meetings in Europe in the past but I was dissapointed by how few clinic seemed to be doing state of the art work.

As for Dr. Arvind Poswal and Dr. Ray Woods, in my opinion they talk a big game and play the Internet like an instrument. Dr. A was shown the door on our commmunity when it was discovered that he was using Dr. Rassman's patient photos on his site and presenting them as his own.

As for the grandstanding Dr. Ray Woods this topic is too long to list on this topic. But use the "Find" feature on this forum to search for posts made by me about "Woods" and you'll see that I've had strong opinions about him, his marketing, ethics and use of the Internet.

Best wishes for a great surgery with Dr. C. Bisanga. It would be wonderful if you would share your results.

Pat

Pat,

I'm planning on sharing my results once I get the procedure done.

Regarding Dr. Arvind using Dr. Rassman's photos, I read a discussion about that in another forum. They decided to let it slide as there was an explanation that the web designer posted Dr. Rassman's pics without Dr. A knowing about it. Can't verify if this is true or not though. Either way I commend you on keeping your forum

Also I forgot to mention Dr. Damkerng Pathomvanich (Thailand) who is recommended by DR Wong in another forum. Supposedly developed the "open technique" allowing for a transection rate of under 2% About him:

I agree with you Pat, in the past some hairmill clinics have produced less than state of the art work (and still do!). In fact it has almost gotten to the point that Hair transplants have become a no no in the public opinion.
Luckely some new European clinics have learned from their mistakes, got excellent training in the US and are now doing state of the art work.

If you should visit Belgium give me a call and I will arrange a meeting.

The best hairdoc was not there!
I think you have to visit Haarlem("Hairlem") and Düsseldorf for the best hairdocs in the field!

hairobservator,

How are you qualifying Dr. Haarlem and Dusseldorf as the "best" hairdocs in the field. If I am correct, you did not have a hair transplant correct? Am I also correct in stating that you work for one of these doctors? If so, please add a disclaimer to your signature stating that you are employed by the clinic as per the forum rules.

Falc
