| Here is my 12 month FU. As you can see I decided to part my hair on the opposite side. It had been so long since I had hair I did not remember what side of my head I parted my hair on. Jana did take some videos of my donor area, and I will try to figure out a way to post them, or have Jana do it for me. I do plan to have a second surgery at the end of October. I would like more coverage on my crown and bring the temperal anlges down a bit if possible. Dr. Paul thinks he can get another 3,000 + because I have a good donor and good laxity. It has been 8 months since my transplant and I am very pleased. At 62 my goal was to somewhat reverse the aging process, but keep a mature look. The hair looks very natural and considering my big head ( I wear a 7 6/8 hat) I got great coverage. I have included some photos of before and after at 8 months and a few of the donor scar. Graft Count 1 Hair FU 442 2 Hair FU 1180 3 Hair FU 914 4 Hair FU 376 4-6 Hair DFU 403 Total Grafts 3315 Total FU equiv. 3718 Total Hair 9063 (To get my total FU number Dr. Paul doubled the DFU number since there are 2 FU's in each DFU, or double follicular unit) (To calculate the total hair number Dr Paul used the average of 5 hairs in each DFU) Here is a link to my first photo album http://hair-restoration-info.com/eve/forums/a/tpc/f/2566060861/m/5761084933 |
