This patient had 2750 grafts in September of 2005 with Dr. Hasson and his team. He was an unusually good responder to Proscar in the mid-scalp region and the crown. This allowed Dr. Hasson to concentrate in the frontal area alone. The results shown in the video represent the patient 2.5 years after his procedure.

As always, video is shot in high definition at 1080i then scaled for the web. I hope you enjoy it.

Dr. Hasson/2750 Grafts/2.5 Years Post-op

I am employed by Hasson & Wong, on salary, not commission. My opinions are my own. Beware of depeptive photo tactics used by clinics with both flash and studio lighting. Photo gallery patients are not models.

Wow, Great work by Dr H. It's really impressive how it blends with the rest of his natural hair.... Don't we wish we'd all respond to proscar that well!

I would have to agree, exceptional work by H&W, they may arguably be the best in their field. I only hope my anticipated transplant turns out nearly as well. Damn! I wish these guys were closer by. Congratulations.

Hey guys, what's Proscar?

And, wow, 2,700 grafts does make a MAJOR difference.

Guys,

Thanks for the comments.

MikeGG,

Proscar is the orginal version of Propecia. Many clinics prescribe it over Propecia because it is more cost effective. Cost is the same for 30 tablets but with Proscar, you get a 5mg tablet vs. 1mg with Propecia. With a five dollar pill cutter from your pharmacy you can cut the pills into quarters and take only one piece a day as opposed to a full tablet thus extending those thirty tablets for four months.

Wow, that is fantastic! How long did this surgery take and were staples used?

4,200 grafts first session
3,800 grafts second session
Both HT's with Dr. Feller in N.Y.

Clubhead,

I am not certain how long this one took. Most likely about seven hours or so. Yes, staples were used as that is all we've ever used for ten years.

agentHarley,

2700 can make a major difference but it depends on the distribution.

MikeGG: Thanks for explaining what Proscar is. However, in case it isn't known by some, Finasteride, the generic form of Propecia, is now available in 5mg tablets that are triangular shaped and can also be quartered with a pill cutter to make the dose about 1.4 mg per quarter (factoring in any minuscule flaking as a result of the cutting). This is still just .4mg +- over what the 1mg Propecia tablet used to be.

Personally, I hate MERCK and hope they, and the rest of the pharmaceutical industry, get radicalized when our new president takes office and racks up the health care crisis in America.

Flyby,

2750 but not for the whole area. Remember, it was only in the frontal section and hairline that Dr. Hasson placed the grafts. The rest is from Proscar. Just want this to be clear.

Still impressive to see the meds combined with the transplant. Hasson and Wong are building a veritable library of videos on that website. Always look forward to these.
