I have recently buzz cut my hair (Finally) and I am wondering if I was to select the fue method can I get my hairline transplanted. I like the look and would consider keeping my hair this way. What would be the healing and growth time after surgery? Also would there be any scarring?
would appreciate any comments. Thank you. |

You are likely to get some excellent responses. Also, if I had that question I would send some pics to Dr. Feller and try and set up a phone consult.
In my humble opinion, then you would get one of the world's leading experts' opinion on the matter. 300 'mini' grapfts by Latham's Hair Clinic - 1991 (Removed 50 plugs by Cooley 3/08.) 2750 FU 3/20/08 by Dr. Cooley Current regimen: 1.25 mg Proscar M-W-F Rogaine 5% Foam - once daily AndroGel - once daily Lipitor - 5 mg every other day Weightlifting - 2x per week Jogging - 3x per week |

Bullfrog,
Scarring is inevitable with any kind of surgery. You will most likely not be able to shave your head down entirely whether you choose strip or FUE surgery. However, FUE is typically more attractive to patients because it lacks the linear scar that strip gives and has a lesser potential for obvious scarring. Don't be deceived however, there is a risk (though minimal in the hands of an elite surgeon) for bad scarring using either method however, I have seen some impressive minimal scarring using both methods. Transplanted hair doesn't typically start to grow until 3-5 months but doesn't fully mature until about 12 months. Be sure to learn more about the benefits, risks, and potential problems with FUE.
