My 15 years old son injury his left eyebrow on a basketball game 2 months ago, leaving a 6cm long scar in the middle of the eyebrow.

I tried to contact a couple of prominent HT specialists, but they all asked for $3000-$5000 for 100-125 follicles. I know it's more difficult to do eyebrow then regular HT, but do people know any good physicians that can do the procedure either in LA or in other part of country?

Anyone heard of Marc Dauer? Will Rassman?

$3,000 - &5,000.00 seems a bit high of a price for sure, but I don't know how it differs from scalp hair transplants.
That is in the $40.00 per graft range while scalp hair transplants average $4.00 per graft

Haven't heard of Dauer but we have seen some of Rassmans work.
I know he had a problem with a scar that didn't heal properly on someone.

I can't say I would reccommend him at this point.

Hmmm. maybe someone eles can chime in & reccommend a Surgeon in Cal.

Dr. Sharon Keene does eyebrow transplants. I know she works out of Tucson, Arizona, but that's not far from LA. Maybe a great plastic surgeon can help you as well instead of H/T doctor. Good Luck

This may not be real helpful but I have very thin (i.e. sparsely spaced) eyebrow hairs at the inner ends of my eyebrows which I must enhance with an eyebrow pencil to provide visibility; if I don't they seem invisible from a few feet away. Anyway, when I had my hair transplant surgery I asked my surgeon about the feasibility of doing eyebrow transplants (fue method). That was a year and a half ago and I'm sorry to say I don't recall exactly how our conversation went or what, exactly, he said other than I do remember he confidently said that yes he could do that. Might be worth inquiring anyway. He's in Portland, OR which isn't too terribly far from LA. Dr. Steven Gabel at Northwest Surgical Hair Restoration. (It's actually in Hillsboro, a suburb of Portland).

Best of luck to your son, I'm sure you will find someone who can restore a natural looking eyebrow.

For what its worth, my HT doctor Jeffrey Epstein specialises in doing alot of eyebrow surgeries but he is in Miami. you can see his website.www.foundhair.com
MAybe it might be worth travelling just to make sure it is done correctly.
