this question is directed towards an MD, with AS you run the risk of losing hair, does the same apply with hair from a HT?

Welcome to the Hair Restoration Research forums.

While, I feel obliged to tell you the requisite "the use of steroids will negatively impact your hair, not to mention other facets of your health" I do hope that you have done adequate research on the substances that you are using and that you are using them as safely as possible.

Ok, then. Now on to address your concern: It is my opinion that anabolic steroids should not have any significant effect on the DHT-resistant donor hairs used for hair restoration. Any miniaturizing hairs in the recipient area would likely disappear and may make the person think the anabolic steroids hurt the transplanted hairs, though.

I am glad you asked this question, however. I feel that even though I don't think many (if any) of the forum members use anabolic steroids, many would be interested in the discussion and would be interested in your post-op experience should you decide to pursue surgical hair restoration.

Steroids affect different people differently.. Side affects such as acne,rage, and yes hair loss vary from person to person.. I am not a doctor but know many people who have used and had some,all, or none of these side effects..If your hair fell out while cycling, ( and it is not loss MPB related), I would imagine it would grow back upon stopping
