Just curious on when the whole itching starts on the donor and receipient area after post-ops.

And to Falc and Spex,
would putting too much aloe vera suffocate the grafts? If so, how do you remove the excess without damaging the grafts.

I've noticed a little itching in my donor area tonight, and I'm 6 days - 12 hours. I've rubbed a little Aloe Vera on it but it hasn't been a big deal.

My grafts haven't given me any sort of feeling yet.

im at 8 days post ops and no itching sensation whatsoever on my donor or grafts area. my scabs are peeling on my graft area, so it looks like i got dandruff, but all grafts are accounted for, i think =)

That's funny....even the newer members see me and spex as the Aloe Kings!

No, you won't suffocate the grafts by applying too much Aloe. Then again, you probably wouldn't want to create a mountain of Aloe on your head anyway. Just gently massage it in. It's ok to leave a thin film on your head - in fact, sometimes that helps to cool it.
