I'd like to know from "those" who went through this : 'what is the risk of shock loss while transplanting in between "transplanted" hair' ?
Thanks. |

temporary shockloss, is a very real possability, but perment will only happen if the hairs are transected. (cut into, for new graft). Permanent generally happens when a physician cuts to close on additional surgeries.. Though very rare with an excellent physician.
If temporary happens, it usually starts to grow back with the new grafts. |

Hey harry,
I feel your pain man...thought HairBeThere's words give me comfort too. I'm 3 weeks post op and I believe I am experiencing some shockloss too. I take comfort in the fact that this is considered normal. But let's face it. We all hate it! So how far are you along harry? Shock loss is to be expected, as HBT pointed out, as a result of trauma to the area. Even if hairs are not transected, some hair loss to shock loss can be lost permanently, however the vast majority should return within time.
This exemplifies yet another reason to research the physician you choose for your hair restoration procedure thoroughly. If you can, view other patients throughout their healing period. For example, Falceros has done a great job of researching and documenting his procedures thus far. -Robert ------------------------------ Check out the results of my surgical hair restoration performed by Dr. Jerry Cooley by visiting my Hair Loss Weblog |
