I had sun spots (pre cancerous)on the front of my then bald head zapped by my dermatologist with liquid nitrogen about 2 months before my hair transplant. I'm now 4 months post op and I'm noticing that there is no hair growth on these spots. Anyone ever have this happen? I'm hoping it might eventually fill in or the surrounding hair might be enough to cover it or worst case, try again if it looks bad in a year.

phil,

Are you experiencing growth in other places? Did your hair transplant surgeon mention anything about these spots or did you discuss them prior to surgery?

Perhaps because these areas of the scalp are damaged, growth will take longer.

4 months is still very early to evaluate the results or growth of the transplanted hair, so give it time. Most hair transplant patients don't even see new growth this early in the game. But talk to your surgeon about this as well.

Best wishes,

Falc

I don't think it occurred to me at the time and they were completely healed. That all sounds promising as I have a great start and can really see the beginnings of a great new hair line. Thank you Dr Vogel.
I appreciate your insight Falc.
