I am not losing any hair(at least i don't think i am),and do not really hav any premature hairloss history in the family. However,i have always had quite a receded hairline in the corners of the forhead, above the temples.I am very interested to know what procedures i could take to permanantly(ish) introduce hair to this area.I would apreciate any advice anybody could give me

Having a hair transplant to restore temples or a receeding hairline is no different than having a hair transplant anywhere else on your head. One question I'd be asking myself is "how much of a chance is there that I'll lose more hair in the future?" Your donor supply is limited so if you want to restore your hairline you need to take that into account while planning.

How old are you? If you're not over 30-35 yrs old you may want to be conservative in your plan to re-establish the hairline as donor hair supply is limited, and, should you experience loss later you'll want to have enough in reserve to address the loss if you want.

So.........it depends. There's no way to determine the amount of future loss a person will have. Do you have ANY diffused thinning on your head, anywhere at all? If not, and your at least in your 30's, sounds like you may be safe to go ahead.

Have you met with a dermatologist? If not, and you plan to try and restore the hairline, you may want to just to see if they can help you determine of your loss is due to male-pattern-baldness that could progress further.

Hope this helps.
