While reading another thread, I saw the mention of "coupled FU's". I understand that these would be follicular units placed into the same recipient site to give better density (I guess). So what would be the difference between that and a mini graft? The coupled FU's would have the tissue trimmed from it, so would that prevent the cobblestone effect? Would coupled FU's have the same appearance as a mini? Is this something that is exclusive to Shapiro or do other doctors use them as well?
